WRITING

Jonathon is a reporter at Saratoga TODAY, a newspaper based in Saratoga Springs, New York. He covers the sports, business, and education beats. He’s also a baseball writer for Jersey Sporting News and a freelance sports reporter for the Emporia Gazette.

He’s written about entertainment and sports for People, Collider, Brooklyn Magazine, InsideHook, Operation Sports, and other outlets. He was a contributor to the book Changeology (Simon & Schuster) and photo editor of The World’s Best Swimming Pools (Lannoo). You can read his work here.

FILMMAKING

He was the co-producer and post-production supervisor of the feature documentary Break the Game, which had its world premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival. The film also screened at more than a dozen other festivals around the world, including Outfest and Hot Docs. It was previously accepted into the 2020 Sundance Film Music and Sound Design Lab. Break the Game was named one of IndieWire’s most anticipated films of Tribeca 2023. The New York Times called it “innovative,” “excellent storytelling.” The film had a theatrical release in New York City and Philadelphia.

He is a jury member for the 2024 Athletic Coup Film Festival in Athens, Greece.

POST-PRODUCTION

He worked in post-production, as a manager and coordinator, for over a decade on projects for Showtime, Netflix, ESPN, Vice, The New York Times, ABC, PBS, and TLC. Some projects of note include the innovative weekly docuseries The Circus; the wildly popular 90 Day Fiance franchise; the critically acclaimed ESPN 30 for 30 documentary June 17th 1994; the feature documentary Trumped: Inside the Greatest Political Upset of All Time, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival; and the Frontline documentary War on the EPA, which received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Investigative Documentary.
